Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and growing key accounts within the modern trade channel, including supermarkets, hypermarkets, drugstores and e‑commerce platforms. The role focuses on building strong relationships with buyers, creating joint business plans and driving volume, revenue and profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily commercial performance of assigned modern‑trade accounts and execute joint business plans covering sales targets, listings, promotions and new product launches.
• Achieve volume, revenue and profit objectives; monitor sales trends, promotional sell‑through and take corrective actions.
• Develop strategic relationships with buyers, negotiate terms, promotional support, shelf space and visibility.
• Coordinate flawless execution of trade promotions, price compliance, planograms and POS materials across stores, working closely with field operations and merchandising teams.
• Provide inputs for forecasting and demand planning; analyse account performance, category share and competition.
• Collaborate with marketing, trade marketing, supply chain and finance to deliver customer‑specific initiatives and participate in monthly business reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years hands‑on experience in sales and key‑account management.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities with buyers and decision‑makers.
