Avaloq Software Engineer

About the role

The Avaloq Software Engineer will join Helyos on-site in Calabarzon, Philippines, to design, develop, and maintain Avaloq‑based solutions for banking and financial services. You will translate business needs into technical implementations, ensuring high‑quality, secure, and performant software.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and define technical specifications.
• Implement Avaloq parameterization, customizations, and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Design and develop back‑end components, write clean, maintainable code, and perform unit and integration testing.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA specialists, and infrastructure teams to deliver solutions and resolve production issues.
• Document technical designs, follow secure coding standards, and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in computer science principles, algorithms, and data structures.
• Hands‑on experience in software development and back‑end web development, preferably in financial services.
• Proficiency in Java, PL/SQL or similar languages and solid OOP knowledge.
• Experience or training with the Avaloq Core Platform (customization, parameterization, scripting) is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Calabarzon and support occasional extended hours for critical deployments.
