Apigee Developer

About the role

We are looking for an Apigee Developer to design, develop, and manage API solutions on Google Cloud's Apigee platform. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, scalable API integrations that align with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain API proxies on Apigee Edge and OPDK.
• Implement security policies, access controls, and performance optimizations.
• Provide L2 engineering support for data components such as Cassandra, Zookeeper, Consul, and PostgreSQL.
• Tri­age, prioritize, and resolve bugs, customer issues, and feature requests.
• Plan and execute periodic upgrades of platform components.
• Coordinate cloud product releases and work with release teams for deployment.
• Support monetization features and auxiliary components like Edge Microgateway.
• Collaborate with Google Global Support Center for troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience with Apigee.
• Strong background in API design, security, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to work onsite daily in BGC, Taguig.

Required skills

• Apigee Edge and API Gateway management.
• RESTful API design, Node.js, JavaScript.
• API security protocols and access‑control mechanisms.
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Git, Maven.
• Google Cloud Platform (preferred).
• Data components: Cassandra, Zookeeper, Consul, PostgreSQL.
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (preferred).
• Understanding of microservices architecture and service mesh.
