Accountant III – Finance & Accounting

About the role

The Accounting Division of the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines is seeking an Accountant III to support its financial operations. This position will handle core accounting tasks, ensure compliance with regulations, and contribute to accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries and general ledger transactions.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Conduct reconciliations of bank accounts, cash, and other financial records.
• Support budget preparation and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audit processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business Administration majoring in Accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Completion of at least 8 hours of relevant training.
• Eligibility under RA 1080 (Civil Service eligibility).
• Ability to submit required documents such as transcript, diploma, training certificates, and service records.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Ability to prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
• Basic proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet tools.
