Tax Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Tax Specialist to lead our tax compliance, reporting and regulatory activities. The role works closely with Finance and Accounting to ensure accurate tax filings, minimise risk and support audits under Philippine tax law.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns (VAT, EWT, FWT, Percentage Tax, DST, Corporate Income Tax).
• Monitor tax deadlines, ensure timely payments and maintain compliance with BIR regulations.
• Stay updated on tax law changes, implement related policies and coordinate with government agencies.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for BIR audits, liaise with external auditors and tax consultants.
• Reconcile tax accounts, verify proper tax treatment in accounting records and support month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Identify tax risks, recommend corrective actions and assist in internal compliance reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance or a related field.
• CPA preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum 25 years of experience in taxation, accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, BIR regulations and filing procedures.
• Experience handling BIR audits and tax assessments is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
