Tax Manager (Work‑From‑Home) – 30K Sign‑On Bonus

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead a small team of accountants in a fully remote capacity. The role involves managing workflow, ensuring compliance, and providing expert tax advice to corporate, trust and individual clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage workflow and lodgments while training and leading a team of up to five accountants.
• Review workpapers, financial statements, BAS and tax returns for companies, trusts and individuals.
• Ensure all deliverables are accurate, compliant and meet high‑quality standards.
• Oversee complex tax matters and provide technical support as needed.
• Deliver technical training, mentoring and guidance to the team.
• Liaise directly with clients to provide tax support and advice.
• Prepare financial documentation and reports with meticulous attention to detail.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Australian tax and accounting.
• 2+ years of experience managing a tax/accounting team.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical mindset with ability to handle multiple clients and deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Xero.
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax compliance, including BAS.
• Expertise in preparing financial statements.
• Expertise in preparing tax returns.
