US Intermediate Accountant

About the role

TOA Global is seeking a US Intermediate Accountant to join its North American division in the Philippines. This onsite position supports US‑based clients with federal and state compliance, tax preparation, and general ledger management while mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage diverse US client portfolios, overseeing end‑to‑end accounting and tax compliance.
• Handle IRS and state compliance tasks, including extensions and action plans for official notices.
• Lead preparation of complex corporate (1120/1120S), partnership (1065), and trust (1041) tax returns, including multi‑state filings.
• Review work of junior accountants to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with the US accounting team to resolve issues and meet delivery timelines.

Required profile

• 2‑3+ years of US accounting experience in a firm or SME environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Proactive problem‑solver with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communicator able to translate complex data into clear reports.

Required skills

• QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online
• US GAAP
• Preparation of corporate tax returns (1120/1120S)
• Preparation of partnership tax returns (1065)
• Preparation of trust tax returns (1041)

• Competitive salary range Php 58,000 – Php 65,000 per month.
