Remote Accountant – US Tax Specialist

About the role

DOXA is seeking a remote Accountant based in the Philippines to support a US‑focused client. The role involves preparing individual and business tax returns, handling bookkeeping, and providing tax planning services while collaborating with international teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare US personal and business tax returns using firm templates and software.
• Compile work papers, depreciation schedules, and uniform capitalization work papers.
• Review client books, make year‑end adjustments, and record journal entries.
• Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Communicate with clients to obtain necessary documents and clarify information.
• Prepare tax projections, payroll liabilities, and estimated payments.
• Handle correspondence with IRS and state agencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with US individual and business tax filings.
• Advanced English proficiency (B2+‑C1).
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Accounting research and data analytics.
• Licensed CPA (preferred).
