Tax and Compliance Specialist

About the role

The Tax and Compliance Specialist safeguards GoTeam’s regulatory integrity and ensures flawless interaction with Philippine tax and regulatory agencies. This onsite position in Cebu City requires a hands‑on professional who can own the full compliance cycle and eliminate regulatory risk.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end tax governance, including monthly, quarterly and annual filings (Income Tax, VAT, Withholding, etc.) and reconcile tax records with financial statements.
• Act as the primary liaison with BIR, SEC, PEZA, BOI and local government units, maintaining the company’s “Good Standing” status.
• Lead preparation for annual tax audits, respond to regulatory inquiries, and ensure audit‑ready documentation.
• Monitor legislative changes, assess impact, and provide proactive risk‑mitigation recommendations.
• Utilise AI‑enabled tools to streamline compliance processes, validate data and track deadlines.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Philippine tax compliance and statutory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of BIR, SEC, PEZA, BOI regulations and related agency requirements.
• Detail‑oriented, highly organized and able to maintain structured documentation.
• Comfortable working onsite in Cebu City and collaborating with finance leadership and external partners.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to identify tax risks and suggest actionable solutions.
