Bookkeeper & Tax Specialist (Remote, Night Shift)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Bookkeeper and Tax Specialist to join our remote team. The role involves managing financial records for multiple clients, preparing tax returns, and offering compliance advice while working night‑shift hours aligned with EST.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounts payable/receivable, record daily transactions and reconcile bank statements.
• Prepare and file federal, state and local tax returns for individuals and small businesses.
• Analyze financial data to spot trends, discrepancies and improvement opportunities.
• Provide budgeting, forecasting and financial‑management recommendations.
• Communicate with clients about their financial situation, tax obligations and resolve related inquiries.
• Organize financial documents for audits and collaborate with team members on overall financial operations.

Required profile

• Proven bookkeeping experience with a strong focus on tax preparation and compliance.
• Familiarity with federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
