SAP ABAP Senior Consultant – Technology Consulting

About the role

EY is looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Senior Consultant to join its GDS Technology Consulting team. You will work on SAP implementation and support projects for global clients across multiple industries, collaborating with on‑shore, offshore and client teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical development and support tracks for SAP engagements.
• Gather business requirements from end users and functional consultants.
• Produce technical design documents and ensure coding follows prescribed standards.
• Develop, test, and deliver ABAP components, including RICEFW objects.
• Prepare unit test cases, support UAT/FUT sessions and provide user training.
• Resolve incidents within SLA for support engagements, working in shifts as needed.
• Coordinate with offshore, onsite and client teams; travel onsite when required.
• Act as liaison with clients for troubleshooting and issue resolution.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of SAP ABAP experience.
• At least three full‑life‑cycle SAP implementations.
• Experience with SAP modules such as SD, PS, PP, HR, FI, MM, APO.
• Familiarity with on‑shore/off‑shore delivery models and CMMI environments is a plus.

Required skills

• ABAP programming, RICEFW development.
• Object‑Oriented ABAP, BAPI, SAP notes implementation, code push‑down.
• AS‑ABAP on HANA, User Exits, Customer Exits, BADIs, Enhancement Framework.
• ABAP Development Toolkit (ADT), oData, CDS, AMDP.
• Module pool programming, Adobe Forms, Smart Forms.
• Web Services, Proxies, SAP‑ABAP Workflow/Flexible.
• Knowledge of Mobility BTP (nice to have).
