Python Backend/API Developer (Flexible Office & Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Python Backend/API Developer to design and maintain scalable server‑side applications for our fast‑paced team in Taguig City. The role involves building robust APIs, integrating front‑end components, and collaborating with cross‑functional groups to deliver high‑quality software.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend features using Python.
• Design, build, and optimise RESTful APIs and server‑side logic.
• Test, debug, and improve application performance.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers and other teams to define technical requirements.
• Integrate front‑end elements seamlessly into backend services.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development cycles.
• Support the creation of new business modules and technical solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience as a Python developer.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and ability to work both independently and within a team.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Experience with frameworks such as Tornado, FastAPI, Django or Flask.
• Understanding of multi‑process architecture and Python threading limitations.
• Familiarity with Docker, AWS services, Git, and Linux/Ubuntu environments.
• Knowledge of testing and debugging tools for scalable applications.
