Rolling Stock Lead

About the role

The Rolling Stock Lead will oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the MRT7 rolling fleet, ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintenance intervals. Working on‑floor in the depot, the lead coordinates staff, tools, and train movements to keep the fleet ready for daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and monitor execution of scheduled rolling stock maintenance activities.
• Identify, assess, and manage unscheduled maintenance tasks.
• Develop daily maintenance schedules and assign staff.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings to communicate safety protocols, technical instructions, and shift priorities.
• Provide on‑floor technical guidance and coordinate train movements with the Rolling Stock Engineer.
• Act as first responder for rolling stock incidents as part of the Quick Response Team.
• Maintain real‑time updates in the Maintenance Management System (MMS) and close out work orders.
• Manage procurement lifecycle for rolling stock goods, services, and assets.
• Monitor resources such as manpower, tools, and equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in rolling stock or rail vehicle maintenance.
• Strong understanding of safety compliance in a depot environment.
• Ability to lead a technical team and coordinate shift activities.

Required skills

• Maintenance Management System (MMS) proficiency.
