Remote Accountant (AU Timezone)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Accountant to join our remote team and deliver high‑quality financial services to our clients. The role operates on an Australian schedule (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM Manila time) and requires strong communication in a cross‑cultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review client bookkeeping, record transactions, reconcile accounts and generate financial reports.
• Manage client general ledgers, resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial statements.
• Collect, organize and file client documentation in accordance with compliance standards.
• Prepare income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and self‑managed superannuation funds.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements, Fringe Benefits Tax returns and other statutory filings.
• Conduct financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reconciliations.
• Provide accounting support across all areas of the client’s business as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant accounting experience.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Stable high‑speed internet connection and a private, distraction‑free workspace.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Experience using Dext for document management.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks.
• Familiarity with Class software for self‑managed superannuation funds (advantage).
