Financial Controller – Remote, UK Hours

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Financial Controller to own the accounting function across multiple entities. Working fully remote on UK business hours, you will influence reporting, processes, and strategic decision‑making for a property‑focused portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and produce monthly management reports.
• Manage cash flow, forecasting, and track financial performance against targets.
• Improve and automate financial systems and processes.
• Ensure compliance with UK VAT, CIS and other regulatory requirements.
• Support property transactions, financial analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Strong experience in financial management, preferably within property or real‑estate.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
• Solid understanding of UK compliance matters such as VAT and CIS.
• Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Effective communicator with stakeholders and decision‑makers.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting systems and automation tools.
