QA Specialist - Materials Receiving

About the role

The Quality Assurance Specialist will support food safety and quality initiatives by testing, auditing, and analysing data related to raw materials and finished products. You will work closely with the production team to identify issues, drive improvements, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect finished products and raw materials to detect defects and trends.
• Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to new team members.
• Review hazard analysis, food safety, and quality documentation.
• Assist in audits, shelf‑life projects, and prepare related reports.
• Manage customer complaints and implement preventative actions.
• Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, and technical issues, escalating when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (typically 3+ years).
• Knowledge of meat cuts.
• Excellent writing, interpersonal, time‑management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Licensed Chemist or Chemical Technician.
• Willingness to work in General Santos City.
