Project Manager – Civil & Marine Engineering

About the role

Surbanajurong is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large‑scale civil and marine engineering projects in the Philippines. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from design through construction, ensuring delivery on schedule, budget, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the senior Project Manager in coordinating activities, managing documentation, and monitoring progress.
• Supervise the project team to meet employer requirements and ensure compliance with approved methodologies.
• Oversee project completion within schedule, budget, and quality standards.
• Report progress to senior management and lead regular strategy meetings.
• Conduct stakeholder meetings to address challenges and align with project goals.
• Liaise with internal teams such as Construction Supervision, Design, PM Support, and Contract Advisory.
• Manage all phases of the project, optimizing resource use and cost‑effectiveness.
• Maintain cost/change controls, budget records, and monitor contractor activities.
• Support change order estimation and manage change requests.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports on contract status, costs, and potential changes.
• Assist the Regional Director in identifying business opportunities and client engagement.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Professional Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years experience managing large‑scale civil engineering projects, with at least 5 years in marine works (dredging, reclamation, rock works, wharf and jetty construction).
• Experience in risk assessment, geotechnical studies, environmental impact assessments, tender preparation, site supervision, and contract administration.
• Strong technical competence, proactive attitude, and willingness to work on a project‑based contract in Manila.
