Operator I – Manufacturing Production

About the role

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Operator I to join its manufacturing team. The role involves operating production equipment, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Perform 6S activities before and after each shift.
• Follow operational specifications and SOPs for the assigned function area.
• Hand over line status to incoming shifts and maintain accurate line documentation.
• Ensure product quality, aiming for zero lot rejection.
• Maintain certification badges and update machine status.
• Achieve required output, utilization, and capacity targets for the assigned station.
• Escalate any line problems to the supervisor or lead operator.
• Set up and isolate stations, handling minor setup or machine issues.
• Record machine downtime, lot history, and manage splitting/merging transactions in real time.
• Report absences to the immediate supervisor.
• Participate in suggestion programs and adhere to company rules.

Required profile

• Ability to follow SOPs and operational specifications.
• Strong attention to product quality and safety.
• Effective communication for shift handovers and issue escalation.
• Willingness to participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives.
