Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Operations Supervisor will lead daily operations of a taxi service, ensuring efficient dispatch, optimal fleet utilization, and strict adherence to safety and company policies. This role combines team leadership with process optimisation to enhance service quality and support business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise taxi dispatch to guarantee timely customer service.
• Monitor vehicle schedules, routes, and driver assignments for maximum fleet utilisation.
• Ensure compliance with traffic, safety, and company regulations.
• Manage, coach, and evaluate drivers and operations staff; conduct regular meetings and training.
• Address disciplinary issues, resolve conflicts, and maintain team morale.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance, report breakdowns, incidents, and accidents, and recommend preventive measures.
• Respond to customer complaints and work with the customer service team to improve rider satisfaction.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports; analyse data and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Support management in implementing new systems, policies, or technology solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation Management, or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in operations, transportation, or fleet management (taxi or ride‑hailing experience is a plus).
• Strong leadership, team‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and make quick operational decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with dispatch or fleet‑management software.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws, safety standards and transport compliance requirements.
