Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will support the project team by managing documentation, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and developing construction methodologies for mechanical and electrical (M&E) works. This role ensures compliance with bid specifications, local codes, and the company’s integrated management system.

Key responsibilities

• Interface with co‑engineers and secure all necessary documents, plans, and specifications for comprehensive proposal assessments.
• Review, analyze, and evaluate proposals submitted by subcontractors.
• Determine and develop construction methodology and standards based on bid documents; create construction standards for the M&E estimating system.
• Solicit quotations from material and equipment suppliers; review proposals for pricing accuracy and compliance with client specifications.
• Perform quantity take‑off of materials, labor, and equipment; prepare estimates in line with bid documents.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Philippine and international codes and standards.
• Produce parameter reports based on draft, recap, and final bid packages.
• Provide timely re‑estimates for redesigned or value‑engineered projects.
• Implement and oversee compliance with the KTMS.PH Integrated Management System and execute related process changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Valid professional license issued by the Professional Regulation Commission.
• At least 3 years of proactive experience in estimating and bid preparation.
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards, safety rules, QA/QC standards, the Fire & Mechanical/Electrical Code of the Philippines, and the National Building Code.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
