Technical Engineer – Transportation Infrastructure

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Technical Engineer to support a transportation infrastructure project in Pampanga. The role involves technical planning, site supervision, quality control and coordination with design teams, contractors and suppliers to ensure construction complies with approved drawings, specifications and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings, specifications and contract documents and coordinate with architects, civil, mechanical, electrical and plumbing teams.
• Provide technical guidance on‑site, monitor progress, report deviations and manage risks.
• Inspect materials and workmanship, prepare inspection reports and ensure compliance with codes and project specifications.
• Maintain technical records, shop drawings, RFIs and update as‑built drawings.
• Resolve on‑site technical issues, propose practical solutions and coordinate large‑scale MEP systems such as HVAC for terminals.
• Review shop drawings and material submittals, and oversee installation of specialized airport systems (runway lighting, navigation aids, baggage handling).

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed Engineer (PRC accredited).
• Proven experience in large‑scale infrastructure or airport projects.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and CAD/BIM tools.
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Familiarity with international standards for airport projects.
• Experience with runway lighting, navigation aids and baggage handling systems.
• Expertise in large‑scale MEP coordination, including HVAC systems.
