Lead / Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Lead / Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its Buildings business in Manila. You will work on a variety of complex projects, guiding them from initial scoping through detailed design, commissioning and handover while collaborating closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion, including preparation of technical specifications, reports and cost estimates.
• Participate in tender preparation, client negotiations and commercial decision‑making.
• Provide expert advice on feasibility studies, design reviews and troubleshooting.
• Develop and analyse mechanical designs ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards and regulations.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling and budgeting to deliver on time and within budget.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and proposals for clients.
• Mentor and develop junior mechanical engineers and oversee technical aspects of projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8‑10 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering.
• Demonstrated passion for innovative engineering and continuous learning.
• Strong communication and client‑facing skills.
