Lead Controller

About the role

GCash is looking for a Lead Controller to strengthen internal controls, drive financial efficiency and support budgeting across the organization. The role will ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements while providing actionable financial insights to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor internal controls to protect assets and ensure financial compliance.
• Develop policies and procedures to prevent fraud and financial misstatements.
• Maintain adherence to tax and regulatory requirements (VAT, income tax) and ensure audit readiness.
• Support preparation and management of the company’s financial budget, monitor budget‑to‑actual performance and create financial models.
• Control operating (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) expenditures, identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive process automation.
• Manage working capital, oversee accounts payable and receivable aging, and optimize cash flow.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and address findings.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with procurement, treasury and other business units.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability to interpret financial data, identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Experience in budgeting, cost governance and cash‑flow management.
• Proven capability to work with external auditors and ensure audit compliance.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills across multiple functions.

Required skills

• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems, specifically SAP and Oracle.
