Junior Legal Counsel (Banking & Asset Management)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel to support our bank’s asset management and foreclosure processes. The role involves preparing legal documents for pleadings, motions, and property disposition while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Handle legal processes related to writs of possession and other property proceedings for bank‑acquired assets.
• Provide administrative assistance, review contracts and legal documents, and act as the bank’s authorized representative in criminal prosecutions.
• Manage delinquent and defaulted account portfolios to minimize losses and maximize recoveries.
• Issue demand and reminder letters to defaulting customers and review Sales Contract Receivables files for proper documentation.
• Advise the Asset Management Team on legal risks, compliance requirements, and best practices for property disposition.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, guidelines, procedures, and regulator‑mandated controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor degree.
• Bar passer.
• 3–5 years of court litigation experience within reputable banking/financial services firms or law firms.
