IT Desktop Engineer

About the role

IntouchCX is seeking an IT Desktop Engineer to provide general desktop support in a break/fix environment. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading computers and peripherals while ensuring compliance with company IT standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hardware troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and configuration of desktops and laptops.
• Engage with internal and external partners to provide updates, solutions, and ensure compliance of IT components.
• Monitor, report, and document system and performance issues.
• Interpret and validate technical issues, test solutions, follow‑up and escalate when necessary.
• Manage installation, diagnostics, repairs, maintenance and upgrades of hardware such as desktops, laptops, and printers.
• Coordinate resources and timetables to complete projects.
• Conduct system audits of implemented technologies and interpret service delivery metrics.
• Provide generalized IT support as required.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary degree or certificate in a computer‑related field (IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in a call‑center or similar technical environment; graduate students may be considered.
• Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and ability to work effectively with internal clients and IT management.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment and adapt to various shifts, including evenings and holidays.
