Investment Consultant – Wealth Management

About the role

The Investment Consultant supports Maybank Wealth Management’s MPI Premier offering by delivering investment advice to Relationship Managers and high‑net‑worth clients. The role focuses on aligning client portfolios with risk and performance objectives while growing the bank’s share of wallet.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent assessments of existing client portfolios.
• Develop and cascade unit‑wide investment strategies based on Maybank’s house views, coordinating with regional teams.
• Deliver timely financial advisory tailored to client objectives and risk profiles.
• Monitor financial‑market movements and supply regular feedback to Relationship Managers and clients.
• Ensure compliance with anti‑money‑laundering procedures and report suspicious activity.
• Adhere to all internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Trust and Treasury units to enhance investment processes and product offerings for high‑net‑worth individuals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Business Studies, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• MBA or CFA charterholder is a plus.
• SEC Fixed Income Market Salesman and UITF certifications are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Bloomberg Terminal or comparable financial software.
