Director – Corporate & Institutional Banking (International Corporates)

About the role

The Director for Corporate & Institutional Banking (CCIB) International Corporates acts as the primary global client contact, delivering the bank’s best products and solutions. Reporting to senior leadership, the role combines strategic advisory, revenue responsibility and risk oversight across a portfolio of multinational corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of client strategies in partnership with coverage teams and product partners.
• Own financial performance targets, including revenue, cost, and risk‑adjusted return metrics.
• Identify and act on new partnership opportunities, driving account plans and cross‑selling across the bank’s product suite.
• Maintain end‑to‑end understanding of client group structures, needs, and risk profiles (AML, CDD, credit).
• Engage senior client decision‑makers to position the bank as a trusted advisor rather than a transactional provider.
• Represent Standard Chartered Bank at senior regional and international forums.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate banking, preferably within a global financial institution.
• Proven track record of managing large, complex client portfolios and delivering revenue growth.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (AML, CDD) and credit risk management.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with senior executives and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of corporate banking products and services.
• Experience with financial markets, transaction banking, corporate finance, and risk management.
