Indirect Tax Specialist – Global (U.S. & Digital Services)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Indirect Tax Specialist to lead our global indirect tax compliance efforts, with a focus on U.S. sales tax and digital services. The role will serve as the primary point of contact for all indirect tax matters, ensuring accurate monitoring, reporting, and resolution across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret changes in U.S. sales tax rules and global VAT/GST regulations.
• Manage tax registrations, notices, and compliance filings in multiple jurisdictions.
• Maintain and configure indirect tax compliance tools such as Avalara, Vertex, or Anrok.
• Prepare and update tax memos, provisions, and audit responses.
• Coordinate with finance, legal, and operations teams to resolve tax issues.
• Support audits and inquiries from tax authorities worldwide.
• Provide proactive guidance on emerging digital services taxation trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent certification preferred.
• 3–5+ years of experience in indirect tax (VAT, GST, Sales & Use Tax).
• Strong knowledge of U.S. sales tax rules and exposure to global regimes.
• Experience in multi‑jurisdictional tax compliance, especially for SaaS or subscription models.
