Fixed Income Trader

About the role

The Fixed Income Trader is responsible for monitoring market movements and identifying investment opportunities across money‑market, capital‑market, debt/bond and currency instruments for trust and fiduciary accounts. The role supports portfolio managers by providing timely trade execution and market analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze stock prices, interest rates and exchange rates to spot trading opportunities for trust accounts.
• Scout, evaluate, negotiate and execute trading transactions in money‑market, equities, bonds, commercial papers, deposits and government securities.
• Manage specific UITFs and equities portfolios for assigned trust accounts.
• Canvas rates from financial institutions, research investment outlets and present recommendations to portfolio managers and division heads.
• Develop and maintain relationships with counterparties, negotiate buy‑sell transactions and coordinate order execution.
• Enter executed trades into the system, prepare trading orders and action requests for Trust Operations.
• Monitor corporate actions (dividends, rights, IPOs) and advise portfolio managers of relevant announcements.
• Coordinate with Credit Management on money‑market line renewals and broker accreditation, and confirm daily closing quotations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or Industrial Management Engineering.
• Working knowledge of investment markets and products, including money‑market, equities, bonds, deposits, foreign exchange and derivatives.
