Financial Control Associate, Controls Centre of Excellence

About the role

The Financial Control Associate will work within ANZ's Controls Centre of Excellence, supporting a range of finance activities across international legal entities. You will ensure regulatory compliance, assist with the monthly close, prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and contribute to group and statutory reporting while maintaining data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Implement the Group’s accounting policies and internal control frameworks.
• Deliver accurate, reliable and timely financial information.
• Drive finance‑simplification initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Embed a robust governance culture across the hub.
• Support international country teams with accurate financial and regulatory data.
• Apply accounting standards and finance policies to journal entries, reconciliations and local regulatory reports.
• Provide coverage for peers as needed.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of accounting standards and finance policies, or strong learning agility to apply them.
• Ability to prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations and regulatory reports.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
