Finance Controller

About the role

PhilWeb is seeking a Finance Controller to lead its financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain strong internal controls in line with Philippine regulations. The role supports strategic decision‑making through comprehensive financial analysis and planning.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with PFRS.
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, journal entries, reconciliations and closing processes.
• Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting and variance analysis to provide insights for strategic planning.
• Develop and maintain internal control systems, identify financial risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with BIR, SEC and other agencies, overseeing tax planning and statutory reporting.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing findings promptly.
• Monitor cash flow, manage treasury activities, banking relationships and working capital.
• Drive process improvements, digitalisation and automation of finance operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of finance/accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards and tax regulations.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
