Farm Production Technician – Swine Operations

About the role

The Farm Production Technician supports the Farm Supervisor in daily swine production activities, ensuring that standard operating procedures are followed and production targets are met. This onsite role involves hands‑on management of pigs, feed, health, bio‑security, and data recording within a farm environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Farm Supervisor in managing swine production processes for the assigned unit.
• Implement and enhance existing production programs and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and monitor variances within acceptable thresholds.
• Carry out barn management tasks to keep facilities clean, orderly, and functional.
• Manage pig handling procedures, including feeding, health assessment, medication, and bio‑security measures.
• Record production data accurately and ensure proper data management.
• Conduct hog sales declarations and oversee the selling of pigs.
• Analyze performance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
