Waste Management Operator

About the role

The Waste Management Operator supports the wastewater treatment department to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations. Working onsite in a chemical manufacturing environment, the role focuses on water treatment, equipment upkeep, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the department supervisor in overseeing the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WTP) operations.
• Implement approved wastewater treatment procedures, complete data sheets, and monitor chemical consumption and cycle times.
• Maintain equipment functionality, report defects promptly, and help prevent production delays.
• Support a clean and safe workplace, adhering to company EHS rules, procedures, and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with PEZA and DENR waste‑management regulations.

Required profile

• High school, vocational, or college graduate (or relevant experience).
• Ability to communicate effectively in Filipino and English.
• Adaptability to changing work conditions and problem‑solving situations.
• Team player who can work effectively with other Coherent Corp. members.

Required skills

• Knowledge of chemical properties and safe handling.
• Familiarity with waste‑management regulations (PEZA, DENR).
• Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
