Equipment Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Equipment Technician to work closely with our Equipment Engineers in the assembly, set‑up and qualification of machines and stations within our semiconductor manufacturing environment. The role is fully onsite in the Philippines and focuses on minimizing downtime through effective troubleshooting and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Equipment Engineers during machine assembly, set‑up and qualification.
• Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions of machines and stations to reduce downtime.
• Support buy‑off, installation and documentation of equipment, fixtures and peripherals.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and upkeep of stations.
• Contribute to the design and development of new hardware and software stations and implement improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Optics, Semiconductor or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics, optoelectronics or fiber‑optics environments.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and independent work capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in object‑oriented programming languages such as C/C++, Visual Basic or LabVIEW.
• Familiarity with equipment communication interfaces (GPIB, RS232, USB).
• Experience with assembly, test and automated stations.
• Competence in using MS Office, statistical software, simulation tools, MES and ERP systems.
