Electrical & Mechanical Advisor

About the role

The Electrical & Mechanical Advisor will provide expert technical guidance for railway E&M systems, ensuring designs meet safety, quality and regulatory standards from concept through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Offer technical advisory on traction power, signalling, telecommunications and platform screen doors throughout design phases.
• Review contractor submissions, tender documents, specifications and drawings for compliance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, construction contractors and subcontractors to avoid project delays.
• Supervise on‑site construction activities, enforcing quality, safety and technical specifications.
• Lead or support testing and commissioning of E&M plant, closing out deficiencies.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Communicate progress and resolve technical disputes with clients, consultants and authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10+ years experience in design and construction supervision of railway projects (MRT, LRT, Metro, High‑Speed Rail).
• Strong knowledge of railway systems, safety standards and international regulations.
• Familiarity with FIDIC Yellow Book contracts preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD, MS Project and other project‑management tools.
