Electrical & Mechanical Advisor (Railway Projects)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Advisor to lead the design, tender review and construction supervision of railway systems. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high‑quality delivery of traction power, signalling, telecommunications and platform screen door solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert technical guidance on E&M system design from concept through detailed design.
• Review contractor submissions, tender documents, specifications and drawings for compliance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, construction contractors and subcontractors to avoid delays.
• Monitor on‑site construction activities, ensuring quality, safety and technical standards are met.
• Lead or support testing and commissioning of E&M plant and equipment, closing out deficiencies.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and government authorities to report progress and resolve disputes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in design and construction supervision of railway projects (MRT, LRT, Metro, or High‑Speed Rail).
• Deep understanding of railway systems, safety standards and international regulations.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts, especially the Yellow Book, is preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD, MS Project and other project‑management tools.
