Design Engineer III

About the role

UCT is seeking a Design Engineer III to develop thermal solutions for semiconductor capital equipment. The role involves creating heating and temperature‑sensing designs for gas and liquid delivery systems, collaborating with internal teams, and supporting customers throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design thermal solutions using CAD software (AutoDesk 3D Inventor, AutoCAD 2D, SolidWorks).
• Analyze customer proposals, specifications, and manuals to assess design feasibility.
• Coordinate with UCT account managers, operations staff, and thermal manufacturing to meet design and quality requirements.
• Participate in design review meetings and follow the NPI process via MS Teams (PST).
• Present technical information to sales, operations, and occasionally to customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of design experience in semiconductor capital equipment, heating, or related industries.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Customer‑service orientation and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
