Design Engineer I

About the role

The Design Engineer I will join a hybrid team focused on creating cost‑efficient, manufacturable, and reliable electrical components and assemblies. This position works closely with operations, quality, and supply‑chain teams to address design‑related line issues and product obsolescence.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct design analysis on components and assemblies to ensure cost efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Resolve moderate‑scope design problems to keep projects on schedule.
• Develop original designs or adapt existing ones to meet tolerance, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to troubleshoot line issues linked to design.
• Manage design change processes and ensure compliance with established specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical design or related functions.
• 1‑3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Teamcenter and Siemens NX software.
• Familiarity with Design Change Management processes.
• Hands‑on experience in electrical design.
