Design Engineer II – Mechanical Design

About the role

The Design Engineer II will support the development of mechanical components and assemblies for our manufacturing operations. Working in a hybrid setting, you will create detailed layouts, perform stack‑up calculations, and conduct cost studies to ensure designs meet budget and performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Create component layouts, calculate stack‑up of detailed parts, and prepare cost studies with supporting documentation.
• Conduct design analysis on components and assemblies to verify cost efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Resolve moderate‑scope design problems to keep projects on schedule.
• Develop original designs or adapt existing ones to address tolerance issues, manufacturing challenges, or customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to address line issues related to design and product obsolescence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design.
• 1‑3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent computer and communication skills.
