About the role
The Customer Service Assistant will support the new accounts counter at a bank branch, ensuring efficient delivery of account opening, deposit handling and account maintenance services. This role involves interacting with customers, processing paperwork and complying with internal and external regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Execute basic new account functions, including opening deposits and maintaining account records.
- Accept and process supplies and accountable forms from Head Office.
- Provide front‑line service to customers at the new accounts counter.
- Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures and the code of ethics.
- Assist with temporary or permanent staffing needs as required.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or college degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, or Marketing.
- 1–2 years of experience in branch banking operations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service orientation.
