Senior Australian Tax Accountant – Division 7A, CGT & Trusts

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Australian Tax Accountant to lead high‑value compliance and advisory work. You will own end‑to‑end tax compliance for BAS, IAS, FBT, company tax, trusts and partnerships, while providing specialist advice on Division 7A, CGT and other complex areas.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review BAS, IAS, FBT, company, partnership and trust tax returns.
• Compile year‑end financial statements and ensure accurate tax reporting.
• Provide technical advice on Division 7A, CGT, GST, FBT and other complex tax matters.
• Maintain compliance with ATO regulations and stay updated on legislative changes.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with global teams on client projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, CA or similar certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of direct Australian tax accounting experience in a public practice or tax advisory environment.
• Proven ability to manage full tax compliance cycles independently.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills in English.
