Compliance Officer & Legal Counsel

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Compliance Officer & Legal Counsel to join our team in Bonifacio Global City. The role is pivotal in ensuring our lending business complies with Philippine financial regulations while supporting legal strategy and AML oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: develop, maintain and update internal compliance policies; ensure strict adherence to BSP, AMLC, SEC and NPC directives.
• Legal Support & Advisory: draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, loan agreements and privacy policies; manage litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution.
• AML & Risk Control: establish and oversee AML and KYC frameworks, conduct CDD/EDD, monitor suspicious activities and submit regulatory reports.
• Regulatory Liaison: act as primary contact for examinations, audits and regulatory inquiries; monitor legal updates for timely implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance or Compliance; Philippine Bar Passer preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience in the Philippines, with at least 2 years in FinTech or lending compliance.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of Philippine financial regulations (BSP Circulars, AMLC Rules, NPC Data Privacy Act).
• Hands‑on experience with AML/KYC procedures and risk assessment methodologies.
• Legal drafting and contract management abilities.
