Compliance Officer & Legal Counsel – FinTech

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Compliance Officer & Legal Counsel to join our FinTech lending business in Bonifacio Global City. The role is pivotal in ensuring regulatory adherence, managing legal risks, and overseeing AML/KYC processes across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update internal compliance policies aligned with BSP, AMLC, SEC, and NPC regulations.
• Provide legal advice, draft, review, and negotiate contracts, loan agreements, and privacy policies.
• Lead AML and KYC frameworks, conduct CDD/EDD, monitor suspicious activities, and file regulatory reports.
• Act as primary liaison for regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries.
• Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes and implement them across business operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, or Compliance; Philippine Bar Passer preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of legal experience in the Philippines, with at least 2 years in FinTech or lending compliance.
• Deep knowledge of BSP Circulars, AMLC Rules, and the NPC Data Privacy Act.
