Commis I – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

Join Hilton Manila’s culinary team as a Commis I and help create memorable dining experiences for guests. Working under senior chefs, you will assist in food preparation, cooking, and station management while upholding the brand’s high standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Manage guest orders efficiently to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Execute complex recipes, oversee stations, and perform quality control checks.
• Inspect plates before service to guarantee presentation and taste standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation, following food‑handling and safety protocols.
• Prepare requisitions and manage inventory of supplies and food items.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience as a cook or trainee in a 5‑star hotel or high‑standard restaurant.
• Passion for hospitality and ability to act with integrity.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills under pressure.
• Willingness to learn, follow kitchen procedures, and maintain hygiene standards.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Western cuisine.
• Basic knowledge of Chinese cuisine.
• Food safety and sanitation compliance.
• Inventory management for kitchen supplies.
