Banquet Manager

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Makati is preparing to open its 5‑star luxury hotel in 2026. The Banquet Manager will lead the banquet and events operation, ensuring flawless execution of all functions in line with the brand’s legendary service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee planning, set‑up, service delivery and breakdown of all banquet events, ensuring venues are ready with audiovisual, lighting, décor and service details.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with event organizers and key clients, anticipating needs and creating “wow moments” that exceed expectations.
• Lead, motivate and develop the banqueting team, managing scheduling, training and performance of both staff and casual labour.
• Collaborate with Culinary, Catering & Event Sales, Front Office and other departments to guarantee seamless operations and alignment.
• Manage banquet revenue, costs and profitability, including budgeting, forecasting, billing and labour productivity.
• Uphold Mandarin Oriental’s luxury standards and ensure venues meet cleanliness, maintenance and presentation criteria.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• 5–7 years’ experience in banquets or events within a luxury hotel, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong leadership, team management and financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
