Back End Developer – Data Extraction & Automation

About the role

We are looking for a Back End Developer to design, develop and maintain data extraction and automation processes for telecom network management systems. The role focuses on extracting performance KPIs/KQIs from multiple NMS platforms, sanitising data, and feeding dashboards used by various business units.

Key responsibilities

• Extract weekly cell performance data from NMS (M2000, U2000, PRS, MyCom, SEQ) for multiple regions.
• Process and sanitise data for Nationwide, NLZ, NCR, SLZ, VIS, MIN, Baluarte, and Priority Towns.
• Develop, modify, activate and deactivate backend scripts for process automation.
• Verify data source integrity, including manual dump files such as MyCom files and Ookla data.
• Update and maintain a suite of dashboards (Mobile Data, Voice & SMS, Broadband, NCR, Baluarte, VIP, EG, SG, Roaming, Ookla, and new integrated dashboards).
• Perform housekeeping of raw dashboard data via scripts.
• Manage OS users, monitor server performance (disk, memory, CPU) and configure thresholds for new metrics.
• Manage users, groups and profiles in the SMD Portal.
• Integrate new data sources into the Amalgam Platform and support stakeholder data extraction requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in backend development, data extraction and processing within a telecom environment.
• Familiarity with network management systems (M2000, U2000, PRS, MyCom, SEQ).
• Experience with automation scripting and dashboard management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with stakeholders and other groups.
