Audio Visual Technician II

About the role

The Audio Visual Technician II leads the delivery of AV services across lecture halls, classrooms, auditoriums and other facilities. The role coordinates equipment setup, manages a team of AV Assistants, and ensures stakeholders receive reliable audio‑visual support.

Key responsibilities

• Administer AV services by informing the team of equipment needs, assigning assistants, and reporting attendance and repair issues.
• Implement AV services by preparing, setting up and operating projectors, computers, sound systems, cameras and lighting according to stakeholder requests.
• Manage equipment lending, verify reservations, maintain the logbook and follow up on overdue items.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, instruct assistants on cleaning and repairing AV equipment, and perform routine upkeep.
• Address AV‑related concerns within the assigned zone or delegate them appropriately.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Knowledge of office procedures, record management and equipment inventory.
• Understanding of customer service principles and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Mechanical knowledge of AV equipment design, use, repair and maintenance.
• Ability to manage material resources, time and coordinate actions with others.
