AU Tax Accountant

About the role

The AU Tax Accountant will support Australian business tax operations for international clients, ensuring accurate reporting and regulatory compliance. This project‑based position offers exposure to complex Australian tax compliance, BAS, GST and ATO processes while working onsite in Makati.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file Australian tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Handle ATO registrations, assessments, extensions and payroll support.
• Conduct tax research, draft reports, memos and client correspondence.
• Manage workflow, deadlines and productivity targets with increasing independence.
• Coordinate with clients, internal teams, and government bodies during meetings and audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology or related field.
• CA or CPA certification or ongoing studies is an advantage.
• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on Australian tax experience (BAS, GST, ATO).
• At least 1 year of experience in accounting, taxation or business services support.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Excellent English communication, high attention to detail and ability to work independently.
