About the role
We are looking for a proactive Assistant Reservations Manager to support the Reservations Manager at Amanpulo, a luxury resort on Pamalican Island in the Philippines. The role involves overseeing the reservations team, ensuring high‑quality service, and driving occupancy and revenue.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the reservations department to maintain a structured, efficient operation.
- Ensure strict compliance with policies and procedures for handling and confirming reservations.
- Manage the reservations team, providing prompt and professional responses to room inquiries and booking requests.
- Handle VIP bookings endorsed by senior management, delivering exceptional service.
- Maintain compliance with LQA and Aman SEVA standards throughout reservation processes.
- Attend daily operations meetings and relay upcoming booking information to relevant departments.
- Conduct pre‑arrival checks for next‑day reservations to verify system accuracy.
- Review monthly travel‑agent commission reports for accuracy.
- Identify training needs and deliver development programs for team members.
- Support business needs by executing reasonable requests from management.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Tourism Management, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in hotel reservations operations.
- Experience with international or luxury hotel brands is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Customer‑service oriented with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Required skills
- Proficiency with hotel reservation systems such as OPERA or Fidelio.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
