Accountant – Multi‑entity & International Focus

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant with 3–5 years of experience to join our fast‑paced finance team. The role supports day‑to‑day accounting across multiple entities, countries, and currencies, ensuring accurate financial records for our international operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping and transaction processing for several entities and jurisdictions.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, recording invoices, payments and receipts.
• Perform bank and payment‑platform reconciliations (Wise, Airwallex) in multiple currencies.
• Record and reconcile foreign‑currency transactions, including unrealised and realised FX gains/losses.
• Maintain the general ledger in Xero, ensuring proper coding and compliance.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close, preparing journal entries, accruals and pre‑payments.
• Support intercompany accounting, invoicing, loan tracking and elimination entries.
• Prepare schedules for balance‑sheet accounts such as fixed assets and provisions.
• Assist with VAT/GST and other indirect‑tax filings in relevant jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors.
• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on accounting experience, preferably in a multi‑entity or multi‑country environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
• Strong understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting and GAAP/IFRS fundamentals.
• Familiarity with VAT/GST reporting obligations in at least one international jurisdiction.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
• Practical experience with Wise and Airwallex payment platforms.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation).
• Knowledge of multi‑currency accounting and FX revaluations.
• Understanding of GAAP and IFRS principles.
